Parameter Value Analysis - Applied Knowledge Research and Innovation

Parameter Value Analysis

The graphs drawn below show how parameter values were assigned by experts during interviews, for the whole study. Only three of the 6 parameters used are shown here. These are Importance, Difficulty to Replace and Stability. The spread of computed values for risk across all of the knowledge items on the map is also shown.

For the first graph, Importance, shows that 25 knowledge nodes were assigned the parameter value of 7 for importance.

Difficulty

Stability

The value spread for risk should be seen as a little different from the previous graphs. Risk is not an assigned value, it is computed using a formula and a set of weights. Actual values can be fractional rather than just integer. The graph shows the number of knowledge nodes that fall within a range. So 7.4 would fall within the range of 7. The graph shows that most of the knowledge nodes fall within the risk range of 4.
